Transport Textbook is a group blog focused on high quality analysis and discussion of public transport issues. High quality contributions to Transport Textbook are not only welcome, but necessary as well. If you’d like to contribute, just register as a subscriber, and you’ve already been regularly contributing to my blog, Riccardo’s or Peter’s then I’ll generally be able to make you a contributor straight away. Otherwise, register and send me an email at phin.melbptATgmail.com to submit articles.

Can I please be made a contributor?
No probs djf01 – I’ll have to remember how to do it
Did you register/sign up?
Yep, but just this morning. I got a whole lot of MySQL errors (about group membership I realised later, so nothing to worry about.
Hi there,
I come from the RB brethren as “derailed” & would like to join your discussions.
Glad you have your server probs sorted but when I clicked on “Subscribe” above out came pages of computer programmming code ?
Derailed, did anyone help you contribute?
Sorry I haven’t noticed this post before. I think Phin has fixed most stuff and haven’t seen the symptoms you mentioned.
Pls reply here if you are still interested
sent an email to Phin. How long does he usually take between first post approval to being posted on the website?
Riccardo,
I’m in Sydney. I enjoy your Sydney-related posts. I’m even envious that Melbourne seems to have at least two blogs where INFORMED transport debate takes place. I too am disappointed with the lack of interest and discussion about transport planning and operations on Railpage.
I think TT could do Sydney a favour by somehow separating the Sydney stuff from the “other”. I know it’s a big ask, but it might be worth trying just to see whether it elicits some informed discussion from Sydney.
Failing that, I’d appreciate a personal email, in the hope of setting up a Sydney-oriented email discussion group, (much easier to do), or joining an existing one.
Thanks,
Nat
